Getting the House Ready - Part 2

If you're still in the process of getting your house cleaned and ready to go that's okay! You'll get there! Here's the next process of getting the house all ready for Christmas if you haven't yet! Planning out the decorations. You may already have this process done, I know we as a family do. Every decoration has a place to go and we have a lot of them. We also have a lot of decorations organized by room and by what they are. Like we have two bins for just the house villages, one of tree decorations, one for living room/kitchen, one for family room/bathroom. etc... it makes the put up and take down much easier and more organized. So, yes. This is the fun part of getting the house ready, actually getting to put everything up!

So, you'll first want to pick a room and beginning. We normally do family room and bathrooms first. They are the quickest. Then you move from room to room. We normally leave the Christmas village till last before the tree since that alone takes almost 2 hours. My mother has about 30 houses that go above the cupboards and then up the stairs.

Once that's done and out of the way the tree goes up. I will have a separate post on tree decorating, but in a nutshell we go ham on decorating the tree. It's a fair bit of fun. I don't know how it's all going to work out this year with all of us working/exams, I feel like we may need to break up the decorating task to separate days. It's going to be time consuming that's for sure.

Anyway, I will be coming at you next week with a tree decorating post. Organizing your Christmas decorating is probably the best way to make sure you get all of your decorations up and where you want them. Also, my apologizes for this being a short post. Exams are quickly catching up to me and the fear is real.

Hope you are all having a lovely day and I will be speaking to you guys on Wednesday!

Jessie xx
