January Favourites

I feel like it has been a bit of a spell since I've done one of these. I'm pretty sure the last one was either October or November. In any case, I bring you today the first month of favourites for 2017. Which has honestly been a roller coaster of a month. Big changes, new life decisions, planning, and hopefully more living to come. Anyway, throughout this month I've had a couple of favourites to share with you guys. So, let's get right into it!

Pokemon Moon

Yes, this came out back in November. Yes, I have owned it and played it before this month, but January was the first chance I actually got to sit down and play it. Although, this one still doesn't measure up to my love of Pokemon XY, but it's still a quality game.

 I feel like I don't need to explain this at all. This was my favourite song this month.

Double Pom-Pom Hat

My sister gave me this hat for Christmas and it is the best thing I've ever put on my head. It's from Aldo by the way,

Blondo Sport Boots

I actually have a favourite pair of boots this month. They are my Blondo boots. They are brown and winter rugged. I have gone snowshoeing in them and have worn them to the mall. They are the perfect boots. They are also completely waterproof and meant for minus 30 degrees which is awesome.

Too Faced Natural Eyes Palette

This palette is great. It is so pigmented, to the point I was nowhere near ready for how little product I need on my brush compared to my drugstore palettes. It is also a nice travel size as well and suits my brown eyes great.

Wishful Drinking, Carrier Fisher

 I have always wanted to read her books. When I was in Chapters this month, it was there and on sale and I just had to have it. I read it all in one sitting. It was awesome to read about her life and her struggles. She was truly an extraordinary woman. If you ever get the chance to read it I strongly suggest that you do.

October Favourites

Another month has come and gone. Although, I did not find this month nearly as fast as the last one. However, I still have some favourites to share with you guys on this lovely first day of November! A lot of it seems to be clothes this time around as well. In any case, let's get started!

Candle: Pumpkin Apple

Love this candle! It is so sweet with the perfect notes of pumpkin and apples combined to make the most autumn candle. Love it. I have been burning it almost every day, but slowly because I wish to savour it.

Makeup: NYX Lingerie in Bedtime Flirt 

I have been grabbing this NYX lipstick compared to the rest of them. I find it has a very long lasting power and I usually struggle to take it off before bed. I also love the colour of it. I have a post slowly on this lip coming up soon for you guys!

Clothing: Skirts, Booties, & Beanies

Maybe not always worn together, but these three have been my faves this month. I love skirts in the Fall and Winter times when they are paired up with tights and nice boots. Ankle Booties are also the kind of shoes I've been grabbing the most The ones pictured are from Urban Planet. They make me feel very tall and chic. So, adding this to an outfit is awesome. I'm trying to go longer without washing my hair as frequently, and beanies have been my hero with this. I can get away with slightly dirty hair for an extra day and they also keep me warm as it's been cooling down really quick. The pink beanie is from Urban Planet and the white one is handmade from Ireland.

Food: Peanut Butter Cookies

My mother made a very large batch of these in the middle of October. I devoured them. I love peanut butter cookies and these were so good.

September Favourites

I'm going to be like every other blogger right now and say "Where did this month go?" Yup, another month has begun and ended so quickly that I have no idea where the entire month went. I'm going to blame the fact that work was really busy and I barely had time to think. Anyway, with that I have a few favourites this month to show you guys, Let's get started!

1. Candle

Bath and Body Works Leaves Candles has been my favourite for September. It has such a nice autumn spice scent that I greatly enjoyed burning this candle which is why there is barely any of it left. Highly would recommend. 

2. Accessory

This lace choker from Aldo has been my favourite accessory to put on. It has so much detail in it and it just adds so much to an outfit. Here is something similar. 

3. Snack

My go to snack for the month of September was apple slices and peanut butter. Not the most exciting monthly favourite, but a favourite none the less.

4. TV Show
I have two shows again this month.

One is Broadchurch which is so good. It's about a boy who goes missing in a small town in England. Super good and the scenery shots are amazing.

The second show is Call the Midwife. I found this one so interesting since shows from those time periods are my favourite and I just enjoyed seeing the life of a midwife.
Highly would recommend both shows.

5. Clothing item

My waterfall blazer has been my go-to this month. The color of it is probably the best part about it. This one is from Urban Planet and is unfortunately sold out.


And that is all! Not that many items this month, but it did go super quick and we are now into one of the best months of the year! What was your favourites from September!

August 2016 Favourites

This month literally flew... I feel like I say this every month. Is it because I'm getting older and time goes faster? Is that a thing? I don't know, but I think it is. Anyway, I got a few favorites this month to share with you guys that I greatly enjoyed. Let's get into it shall we?

Books:

The first book I read this month was of course Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. It was so good, it was a little weird to read a script, but after a while it was like going home and being surrounded with family. It was amazing. I am very sad though that J.K. Rowling said it will be the last of Harry Potter.

The other book that I loved this month was "Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (And Other Concerns) by Mindy Kaling. This one was super funny and I loved how she spoke of her time struggling to make it in New York.

TV Shows:

August was probably the most shows I've watched in a single month and I have some faves besides my usual Pretty Little Liars for this time of the year.

So one show was The Mindy Project. I have actually never watched it and I caved and watched it all within 6 days. It's awesome. It's such a fun show and great to binge watch.

The second show I loved was Stranger Things. If you have not watched it yet... WATCH IT. It was so good, the cast was awesome, the plot, the suspense were all perfect. So, watch it. It's only 8 episodes and I watched it all in a day.

Beauty: 

So, my only beauty item for the month of August was a bottle of Essie nail polish named Lady Like. I love this. It is like this purplish nude color or like a mauve. Either way I enjoy it. It's very different than what I normally wear on my nails, but I can see myself wearing this a fair amount in the fall. Right now though it's been my go to nail polish near the end of this month.

Collection: 

I collect things that may seem odd, but my friend has been amazing and the newest addition to my collection is the Sailor Moon Moon Stick. I love it. It's perfect and I always wanted one of these as a kid. My child heart is happy.

Random: 

Desert Gem cactus. This has been the little bit of green I've added to my room. I have a terrible habit of killing plants, but I'm hoping I can at least keep a cactus alive. I enjoy how green it is. I got this from Wal-Mart for about $8.

July 2016 Favourites

July Favourites

Well July has come and gone a lot faster than I was expecting with some pretty low and pretty high points throughout. However, short it was I do have some favourites from the month so, let's get right into it.

Book

I'm starting with books because this book really spoke to me and I greatly enjoyed it. All the Bright Places was an amazing read and really opened the issues surrounding mental health and the ideas around it. Although sad it had many wonderful points. I would strongly recommend this to anyone.

Clothing

I don't think I can talk about this romper enough. I am absolutely in love with it. It makes me feel good and I wear it all the time.

Skin Product

This is going to have to be Soap & Glory's The Scrub Of Your Life. I raved about this in a previous post and it is still my favourite product. My skin feels awesome thanks to this.

Beauty Product

The winner of this category for July month is Benefit's Hoola Bronzer. It was finally starting to feel like summer in Newfoundland and I had no tan skin to show for it. So, I always reach for this to give my face a little bit of extra color.

Food

Avocado Grilled Cheese. This is hands down my favourite quick and easy meal. It tastes amazing and you're getting that extra bonus fiber from the avocado, which is awesome for your health.


That's all my favourites for the month. It went by so quick that I barely had time to get favourites in the first place. Hopefully August goes by a little slower.

June 2016 Favourites

I feel like I blinked and now June is over and now July is already half way through. However, July means my birth month so I'm okay with that... sort of. So, I had a few favourites for this past month. Some beauty things, some clothing, and some random things of course. I'll get into my favourite beauty things first.

Beauty

Benefit Sugar Bomb Blush/Highlight

I'm not good with defining beauty products, but it's kind of like a shimmery highlight with four colors that could help form a blush so I of course swirl it all together and use it as a blush because I enjoy the color it gives my cheeks. It looks very summery and gives a natural look to my cheeks. So, I've been grabbing this very frequently.

Flowerpot Gold Eye Shadow Pot

I got this almost a year ago now, but I enjoy it for the summer. It's easy to apply and more of a cream base and I enjoy just how gold it is. Perfect for summer!

Clothing

Garage Exercise Shorts

It's getting so warm out that I just can't bare to wear my leggings anymore. So, my shorts are perfect for this and they  have a super cute pattern.

Maxi Dresses

Any and all of my maxi dresses are my favourites. I've been wearing them so much this month because it makes it feel like summer even when it's not.

American Eagle White Wedges 

I love those shoes. I got them for convocation, but also so I can wear whenever this summer.

Random

Gift: A Sailor Moon Figuring from Japan

I am actually in love with this. It's so cute and I can change her facial expression and arms and I love it! Yes I am five and I don't even care. I have the best best friend.

Food: Vegan Chili

Loving this food. It's super healthy, has like no salt and is just so good. If you're interested in a recipe post for this comment down below!

Life Event: Convocation & First Car

This month I have two major life events that I loved. One was my convocation day which has an entire post for itself and also the day after I bought my first car. I love it and life is good.

Alcohol: Jacob's Creek Moscato 

This is such a light wine and I enjoy it greatly at parties. It has a very sweet taste to it.

Restaurant: Chafe's Landing

This one is located in Petty Harbour and has such a great menu. 10/10 would recommend! Check it out!


That for now is all my favourites from the month of June. Again it went so fast that I hardly had time to keep up. Now it's time for July!

October Favourites

October is coming to a close and from Newfoundland's current weather it looks like Winter isn't far away. So, today I thought I would share with you guys some of my favorites from this past month. Let's take a look..

Candle:

I love having this section because I live for candles. I enjoy them a lot. So, my current favorite is Marshmallow Fireside from Bath & Body Works. Such a nice candle and you can actually smell the fireside which is slightly weird, but it smells amazing! I think I'm really enjoying this candle because it's kind of like a transition smell from autumn to winter. 

Skin Care:

With my recent Lush products they also gave me a little coalface cleanser bulk. Although, I am slightly breaking out or having little spots it makes my skin feel great. My skin has started to become pretty consistent now as well. 

I am also loving their Baked Alaska soap. It's just so pretty I love it.

Store:

Chapters! I am so in love with Chapters lately. They just got their winter stock in and I'm constantly going in there, looking at books, smelling candles and soaps, looking through prints. I also get my Starbucks fill while I'm there. I just generally enjoy going in there all the time. I also bought a print in there recently which has given me a great idea for some photos I can take myself to finish my gallery wall in my bedroom. I've also been getting fantastic Christmas gift ideas. It's also probably slightly weird that my favorite store is not a clothing store.. but oh well!

Clothes:

Sweaters & knits! My go to outfit for the past week has been leggings, tall boots, and a knit sweater. My two favorites right now are actually the same exact type of sweater just in different colors. I got them both at Reitmans last year and I enjoy them so much. I also noticed that they have similar ones out again this year... so I may need to stock up again. Can never have too many knits!

Miscellaneous:

So, my favorite random item for this month is the lights I picked up from Walmart. They're LED Christmas lights in big round bulbs and I find them so nice. They really make my room brighter and nicer with just the lamp on. 

Movie:

My favorite movie this past month has been Hotel Transylvania Two. Super cute movie and although not as great as the first one I would recommend it. I give it about a 9/10 for cuteness factor.

September Favourites

I don't know about you guys but I'm pretty sure I blinked and September was over. Well almost over.

Although it went by in a blink of an eye I have some favourites to share with you guys! Let's take a look. 

Accessories: 

I really don't have many for this section right now, but I do have a favourite necklace. It was given to me by a friend and it's from a shop in downtown St. John's, Posie Row. It's this sweet paper crane necklace. It's actually so cute. It also goes with so many of my outfits. It's kind of a staple necklace to have.

Clothes:

My favourite article of clothing right now as we head into fall is my green skater dress from Dynamite. It's very flattering and I can dress it up or down very easily.

Candles: 

I have a favourite and it is Pumpkin Apple of course!

Album:

So, my favourite album right now is representing the shore. Tim Carew is a small town boy from Newfoundland. He has been working on his album Bound for the last two years and finally had it released this September. It has a pretty unique flare to it, but has some amazing songs on there. My favourite is In The Meantime or Bound. All of it is good really! And the album art is actually pretty rad. So, if you haven't heard of it or Tim check out his album on iTunes! You won't be disappointed! 

Beauty: 

Here's my favourite lipstick of the month. It's the Rimmel London 124 Bordeaux. It has such a nice dark lip. It has some purple hues in it and it is just lovely. It is the perfect fall lipstick.
