Thoughts and Feelings about Heading Back to School

It's been a spell and summer was a busy hot mess, but I'm back and have some thoughts for you guys.

So, if you don't follow me on Twitter you may not know that I've decided to head back to school again. However, I'm not heading back for MBA, but I am going an entirely different route. I am heading back and doing an English major and will hopefully be applying to the secondary education program at my University for next September.

This is a huge difference, I know! So far, I have been getting mixed reviews from friends and family. Some are being super supportive, others have voiced their concerns and feel like I'm wasting my business degree. However, I don't feel that way and that's the main thing. I feel like education is a much more significant role for me rather than working in a stuffy office building stuck at a desk all day. I really want to make a difference in people's lives, so why not be the teacher students can reach out to if they need help. Now, I could be completely wrong, but in this life does anything ever turn out like we want it to? Nope.

Anyway, I had my first class back the other day. It was a big day, and it is still kind of a blur. I was in buildings I haven't had classes in since my first year in 2011 and I was getting lost, but the environment is much more relaxed than in my business classes. People also seem a bit freer. I noticed so many tattoos where my business classes if you had one you had it covered. People were also wearing different styles of clothes and I was in awe taking all of that in. Luckily, I have my best friend in all of my classes so she helped me get from A to B and sorted out our textbook lists and I am ever so grateful for her.

My only real concern over this semester is how I am going to successfully juggle school and full-time work again without breaking. I have already written one of my papers and have started reading one of the required novels since this is my last day off from both school and work. I just hope I keep motivated throughout the semester.

I am going to be setting goals for myself and I hope I reach them. I will be giving updates throughout the semester and any tips I can think of for myself I will be sharing with you all!

Do you have any advice for me on how to deal with this upcoming semester? Let me know in the comments below!

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my posts!

Where have I been?

It's been a bit of a spell. Pretty much over two months. However, I have been working flat out and I have had so much going on that blogging went on the back burner.

Anyway, here I am and hopefully not going anywhere anytime soon. I thought today  I would give you all a little update on how I've been, what I've been up to and what is soon to happen.

For how I've been, well it's been some ups and a number of downs. It's been a bit rocky of a month health wise. I've been feeling a lot of stress from not yet finding a job in my field, while I am okay with this, apparently, no one else is. Family, friends, coworkers, customers, everyone... seem to think that I can't just work at a coffee shop while I save money to travel or to find myself first. I'm doing a lot of behind the scenes. Let's say I'm pretty content, but everyone else is a bit more negative about my situation than I am.

For what I've been up to it varies from planning possible business idea(s) while just making sure I have money to pay for my responsibilities and for the thing that is soon to happen. Other aspects, all I do is work right now and you know see some of my friends, look up cute dogs on rescue sites, and do some online certification courses on the weekends I'm off.  I've also just been frozen during Newfoundland's second winter. We had a beautiful beginning of March. but she's going out like a lion by's. We're possibly getting another 60 cm of snow later this week and it's all just too much.

If you follow me on Twitter you know what the soon to happen is. If you don't, well Jake and I are heading over to England/Scotland for 2 weeks in May. We decided this very spontaneously and essentially why I am working so much is to make sure this and everything else is paid for. We are oh so excited and can't wait to explore. Going to the UK has always been a dream of mine and I can't wait. It's only another 48 days. We are still super underprepared, but we'll get it done. He's also letting me take video clips of all of it so I can make it into a wonderful travel diary or travel "vlog".

Anyway, February and March were a hell of a time. Let's hope April goes by better and get ready for some new posts starting in the next few days!

Thank you all for stopping by and I hope you all have a wonderful day! :)

The End of 2016

Blogmas clearly didn't work, but I work retail so we all knew it wouldn't.

Anyway, I bring you today my thoughts of 2016 and my hopes/goals for 2017.

2016 has been a roller coaster of a year. I don't know what it is, but for a large majority of people, it seems like it wasn't a good year. I myself have experienced that. I lost my grandmother, failed to get a job in my desired field, said goodbye to some friends, and there were always a few more personal lows.

However, there were some good things about 2016. I finished my degree, I gained some amazing followers on this blog, I bought my first car, I made some amazing new friends, I got to go on a great trip to Ontario, I finally realised what my goals are in life, and I figured out a path to get me there. I am thankful for my failure because it has helped me realise that life isn't going to be easy and that the right job is out there. I just haven't found it yet, but here's hoping that in 2017 I do.

Some of my goals for 2017 besides finding that dream job is as followed:

  • Reach 500 followers by my July birthday
  • Continue to write at least one post a week for both blogs
  • Successfully transition Dash of Confidence from a mixture focus to a career-oriented blog
  • Take the GMAT
  • Get further in relearning French
  • Give more of my spare time to friends and family

2016 may have been a mixture of good and bad, but here's hoping that 2017 will be different. If it isn't I'm going to make it different myself. I can't expect a completely good year, but I have the control and power to make it better on my own.

What are your goals or hopes for 2017? What was one good and one bad thing that happened this year? Let me know in the comments down below!

Once again thank you so much for stopping by throughout 2016. I may have one more post left before the end of the year. If not, I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and a fantastic New Year and I will see you all again soon.

Cosy Fall Days

One of the best things about Fall if getting cosy. Curling up on the couch or in bed, candles going, and watching a movie or reading a book are the best things. It's a relaxing time of the year since all the bugs are slowly leaving, it's no longer super hot, and coats and sweaters can resurface in everyone's closets. There is also fantastic food.

If you are looking to have your own relaxing fall day, here are a few things you may want to have:

1. A Face Mask.
One that you can wear awhile is perfect.

2. Comfy Clothes.
Sweats, pyjamas, or anything you find comfortable is perfect for this.

3. Messy Bun or Pony Tail.
Don't worry about your hair. Throw it up and get it out of your face.

4. Ultimate Cosy Place.
Whether your cosy place is your bed or the couch, pick the best place. Or even make a fort if you have the room for it.

5. Favourite Movie
Grab some of your favourite movies or add to your list on Netflix.

6. Snacks.
Whether you're trying to be healthy or this is your cheat day, grab some snacks. My go-to snack right now is still apple slices with peanut butter.

7. Get Cosy.
Now, just enjoy your day. Relax and just unwind in your cosy space.

What is your cosy space? Tweet me over here with your cozy space! I'd love to see/hear about it!

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you all have a wonderful day!

The Big 23

Yup, I turn 23 tomorrow. How weird. Imagine, 23 years of life. Growing, maturing to become this person I am today or well tomorrow. I may do a post about my birthday "day", but I'm not doing anything big for it besides going to dinner with a few friends.

So, for this post I thought I would just share some of my thoughts on the idea of turning 23. Which is such a scary thought to me. I'm not sure why, but when I hear 23 I hear adult. 22 doesn't seem like an adult that seems like having fun and still being a teenager. However, 23 sounds like I should have more responsibilities, be working full time all year, and getting engaged. Which a number of people I went to school with have already started on that part. It's a weird feeling for sure.

It also feels like it has been no time since I graduated from high school, when in fact it has now been 5 years. Time has been going so fast and I feel like its not ever going to slow down. It's like I'm going to blink and I'll be 30, blink again 50, blink again 80. It's crazy and I still don't know what I want to do with my life let alone next week.

There are a few things I hope to accomplish while I'm 23. One is to get my blog up to 500 followers. If I could that would be pretty cool. If I don't, that's okay too. Second is to land a full time job over minimum wage. Third is make it to Europe. I would love to get to finally travel across the pond and visit the UK and parts of Europe and maybe 23 will be the age I finally do that. Fourth, move out. I want to get out on my own two feet. I want to live in my own place, have my own furniture and deal with all that crazy responsibilities. 23 may be the age I move out. We'll have to see.

All I know is that I hope at 23 I still have awesome friends and family around me and that I'm happy. I just want to be happy and content with life always. I know there will be a few hurdles life is going to throw at me this year already, but I'm hoping I'm fast and jump over those quickly.

Life is crazy and it moves so fast that sometimes I feel like I can't keep up. I'm hoping I start keeping up this year and that it is forever amazing.

So, tomorrow I turn the big 23 and I'm ready.

Thank you for stopping by and reading this oddly long post on my birthday.
I hope you all have a splendid day!

Hike Planning & Preparation

So, this summer my plan is to hit so many new trails. I am not athletic at all, but I do enjoy getting out and going for a hike along the coast, especially here in Newfoundland because there are so many trails to explore.

Before you set foot on a hiking tail though, you'll need to be prepared. Here's a list of a few things you should have checked off on your list.

  • Proper footwear: Depending on the trail you picked, you may need some serious hiking boots. I don't have any myself, so I pick trails that state easy or mild and not too rocky. Also make sure your shoes have some grip. It's dangerous on some trails to go with shoes that make you slip easy. Especially, if you're going on one right next to a cliff.
  • Proper clothing: Look at the weather forecast and be prepared for rain or shine. Waterproof coats are a must and wind breaker pants. Dress for warmth because you can always take layers off you can't add layers you don't have.
  • Food: Make sure you have enough food and water. Take extra as well, you never know what might happen and it's best to be prepared to handle the worst that could arise.
  • Contact: This one is probably the most important. Tell someone what hike you are going on and when you expect to be back. This way if you lose your cell phone, service, or the battery dies and you get stuck a friend or family member will realize you are late and go looking for you.
  • Research: research the trails. See how easy or hard they are and look at reviews. This way you can pinpoint how long it will take you to complete as well as give you an idea of warnings or interesting points to keep an eye out for on your hike.
Of course if you're going overnight trail hiking make sure to have the proper equipment, backpacks, tent, and sleeping bag and extra socks are a must. It is very important to not let your feet get too wet while hiking for very long. This could lead to athletes foot. No body wants that.

Also plan for predators in your area. If you live in a place with bears, wild cats, and who knows what else plan accordingly for what should be done with your food while you sleep or what to do if you come across one of those animals. This part I don't have a lot of experiencing in since bears are rare in my area and that is really the only "deadly" predator on the island.

So, here is my short guide to hike planning and preparing for it. Do you guys like hiking? What trails are in your area?
One of my favourites in Newfoundland is the Spout Path, mainly because this one goes to the lighthouse which is pretty cool. Or the one pictures above to the old village of La Manche.

Happy hiking and enjoy summer to the fullest!

It's Friday

I've been pretty busy with updating the work website so far today and I thought I would write a quick post whilst on break to let you guys know that I'm planning a major summer posting. I am hoping to have 2-3 posts up per week and next week's are already ready to go! Look at me being productive and stuff.

I've also been doing a lot of cooking.. well kind of. I spent 4 hours yesterday evening cooking a vegan chili. From my small taste test it tasted good, but we'll have to see this evening how that went. I bottled the chili too, first time bottling food and I feel like an official grandma now. I've also started up a budget for my remaining summer months and car payments and insurance payments and oh how gross the adult life is.

However, it is Friday and I'm hoping to get some things done the weekend or nothing done cause I would like to relax at some point and have a bit of a lie in. Which is why I stayed up until 12 cooking/bottling chili and washing/drying clothes, and my hair so that this evening I could do nothing and just chill in my house and play video games. Since I still haven't even opened one of the games I got for Christmas like what is this.

Anyway, that's just my thoughts for this morning. I hope you guys a ready for the posts to start this Sunday and thank you so much for reading!

Zoella's New Collection~ Just Some Thoughts

From Zoella Blog

Being in Canada, I am not privileged to have a Superdrug in my province. That being said, I've never wanted to get something from the UK (besides clothing) shipped to me until now. If you are a Zoella fan like moi, you would have seen her recent second channel video about her new collection which is available online this Friday. The collection is 1920s French inspired and the packaging is so cute I could die and also the same of the collection? Sweet Inspirations. Such a cute name!

Anyway, there are a few things I want to get from this collection.  One is the body cream since that seems safe to me. I also really want the Bath Latte and the fizz bar because I do enjoy my bath time and I need a few more things that smell of macaroons. Those three are mostly likely the for sure things I want from the collection. A part of me (we'll see once I total everything) wants the body fondant, it seems like such a cool concept especially since I've been looking for something that gives me a bit of a glow once I get slightly tanned (if the sun every comes out in Newfoundland). Last thing I'm debating is the little coin purse that says "Life is Sweet". I'm always a bit iffy on the bags since Zoella always takes up a bit more than what I would like on a bag. However, it would be really nice for pads and tampons that just swim around in any and all of my bags.

The other three items in the collection I don't really want to bother with is the mist just because I'm not that into mists. I would rather perfumes that last all day even though the glass bottle is a nice touch. The larger clutch I'm not interested in either since that's just too large for my liking and the Sugar Dip Bath Salts. I like some salts in my bath occasionally, but not enough to ship a package from the UK. It's a good thing I get paid on Friday otherwise I'm gonna be a very broke girl.

I will hopefully be doing a review of these items once I order them and they get here. Of course that could be in a month with how long it takes things from the UK to get to little ole Newfoundland.

What products are you hoping to get from this collection?

I hope you are all enjoying your Tuesday and I'll see you again soon.

Room Makeover Plans

I'm making some big changes this year it looks like. So far, I've cut off my hair, put blond in it, am starting a new job, finished school, looking into buying my own car, and I'm also completely changing my bedroom. I know, not as big as the other things, but my bedroom is very much apart of me and reflects what I like and my personality. If you excuse the mess in the photo below, I don't know how I get it like this, but in any case you can kind of tell that this was for sure planned out by a senior high school student. I also figured I'd show you what exactly at this very moment I'll be changing including the huge mess. I have a giant Sailor Moon painted on my wall as well as soot sprites and a giant painting of an anime character (I'm cool I swear). I have also had the same bedspread now for 3 or 4 years. In all it doesn't really scream 23 years old recent university grad, does it?

So, since getting back from my trip I've been thinking "Jessie you need to change this" and what better time is now (especially before the tax hikes in Newfoundland set for July). I'm going to have about week in between my jobs giving me sometime to paint, organize and completely change my room. I also have another project idea planned for my dresser/vanity because oh god is that an eye sore.

The Plan

So, right now the plan isn't complete. I have ordered my new duvet and cover from the lovely company Simons. The colors I'm going for are white, grey, black, blue and a yellowish/gold color. I have been planning out the art work in my room for a while and that will all be in white/black frames. I'm also planning on getting some floating shelves and completely gutting out the customized white book shelf my dad made me. My closet is also going to be getting an overhaul and organized. That I'm all hoping to start this week so I just need to move some things into the hallway and I can get started on painting.

The colors for my walls are a big thing. I love purple it is hands down my fav color, however, it really isn't helping my metamorphosis into adulthood. So, I'm going with a teal accent wall and the other walls a light grey. Causing that vanity to stick out like a sore thumb. That I'm planning on painting white and black and refinishing and adding new knobs to it. It's older than me and dated so it gotta change. That I'm planning to do a weekend in July.

I'm aiming pretty high here on getting this done quickly and easily. We'll see how that goes. I will be sure to keep you guys posted on that over on my Twitter and on my Instagram. Also during that week I'm planning a major house clean up and gut because I'm planning a big convocation party with family and friends (hopefully).

Let's see how this goes Crane-a-roos.

I hope you all have a wonderful day and I'll talk to you soon.

Poppy and The New Newfoundland & Labrador Tourism Ad

This morning the new Newfoundland and Labrador Tourism commercial was aired on Facebook and who is featured in it? A few places, people and one very important man in my life, my poppy! The ad is the video above.
Screenshot from the Newfoundland and Labrador Tourism Ad
Poppy is the man in the row boat putting his miniature crab pots on his hand crafted model boats. He's been doing this now for as long as I can remember so, let's say around 20 years. Himself and my grandmother (Morgie) used to have a place called "Storybook Kingdom" on their property. Poppy would build the houses, cut out the characters and put everything together and Morgie used to put together her own things and paint all the characters. They shut down that business a number of years ago and since then poppy had just been focusing on his boats. He builds boats he has seen on a TV show or online and going from there. Every summer he now puts them in the river across from their house on the main highway in our area and so many tourists stop to take pictures. This past summer he was also featured on CBC News about his boats. That's when NL Tourism asked him if they could film him.
I am so happy with how this turned out and even though he is only in it for a part of it, it is so awesome that he is recognized as being something that makes Newfoundland unique.
The ad is also just really nice in general and if you have the chance I would recommend checking out the Newfoundland and Labrador Tourism YouTube Channel. They have all of their ads from the past few years on there and they take pride in having some of the top tourism ads in the world.

That is my post for this snowy Monday afternoon. What did you guys think of the ad? Let me know in the comment section below!

Tibb's Eve, how are you spending it?

Today is the eve of Christmas Eve and here in Newfoundland that means Tibb's Eve. What does that mean? Well you get together with friends and or family, drink and have fun. Unfortunately, I'm spending it wrapping gifts and getting ready for an early morning at work tomorrow, but in the past I have had some fun.
Want some history about Tibb'd Eve? Well it essentially began after World War II in outport very religious communities. It was looked at as a way of sampling all the Christmas drink goods with friends and getting together before family time. Even if you're not from Newfoundland and maybe having a slow night, call some friends over & sample some Christmas goodies and have fun! Or if you are under the legal drinking age, call up some friends and play some games or watch some movies with some chocolate treats!
How are you spending Tibb's Eve or how did you spend it? I'd love to know! Leave a comment!

10 Movies to Watch to get you in the Christmas Spirit!

So, not much of a life update for you guys. I literally just worked the entire weekend and that was pretty much it. Tomorrow is December 1st, which means Christmas will soon be in full swing. Newfoundland also got a lovely dusting of snow last night. So, right now it looks so nice outside and it's starting to put me in the Christmas spirit a little bit! So, I thought I would share with you guys some movies that can help put you in the Christmas spirit that you can watch while studying, or getting the house ready for decorating or anything really. Not in any real order, but lets take a look!

1. Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer

Love this movie, and it's perfect for getting anyone ready for Christmas!

2. Elf

Probably, an even better Christmas Movie to watch. It's so good and is such a laugh.

3. Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas

I love this version way more than the old cartoon one. I can remember growing up and having to watch it every year in school and I think my school may have even gone out to see it in theaters.

4. The Polar Express
Not my favourite movie, but it doesn't stop making me love Christmas. It's actually one of my sister's favourites and it's pretty good. Plus Tom Hanks plays so many characters. Which is funny. Very heartfelt Christmas movie

5. The Santa Clause Movies

10/10 would recommend. They are so good. My family gets together every Christmas and watches one or all of these movies. They are so good. If they don't get you in the Christmas Spirit I don't know what will.

6. Christmas with the Kranks

This one I can remember seeing in junior high with my school. It's pretty good and it's so funny every time. I have even caught the boyfriend watching this in the summer time. It's also on Netflix so yes go watch!

7. The Life & Adventures of Santa Claus

If you're looking for an intense movie from the early 2000s, this is the one you'll want to watch. It would always play on TV growing up and it's pretty awesome.

8. The Nightmare Before Christmas

Whether you consider this a Halloween or Christmas movie is up to you. I consider it both. So, an awesome movie to watch if you want to take a bit dark of turn for the Christmas Movies.

9. A Charlie Brown Christmas

Since I can remember this was the movie that pretty much meant that it's time for Christmas. A lovely childhood classic.

10. It's a Wonderful Life

Every Christmas the movie that is watched Christmas Eve in our house is this one. It's the best movie for Christmas time. If you haven't watched it yet I would strongly recommend it. A movie that really captures the Christmas spirit.

Have a movie that I didn't mention in this list? Comment it down below! What movie gets you in the Christmas spirit that you have to watch every year? I'd love to hear!

Hope you all have a wonderful week and I will be back again on Wednesday with another Christmas themed post!

Some Thoughts I had this week

I may be having a bit of writers block... It could also be because I have a midterm tomorrow. Anyway, I figured let's write down 10 thoughts of mine at this very moment and see what we get.

1. I love how my scarf has foxes on it. My mother got it for me for Christmas last year and I'm happy I can finally wear it. I also have to wear my winter coat right now because it's snowing.

2. I'm making pumpkin cupcakes next week. I should have some free time to spare to make cupcakes. Maybe I'll have a blog post on that.. We'll see.

3. I need a new lipstick for fall-winter. Most of mine are light colours and I don't want to dark, but just a bit darker than my usual. I will have to scout out shoppers because I am so broke.

4. I have an idea for a book. I'm not sure if I'll write it, but there's an idea there and I would like to write on it. Maybe an idea for Christmas break and when school finishes in April?? It has strong female characters that save the day. I suppose it will be like a teen novel. I just want to make something that people can relate to and give them the encouragement to make the changes they want to see. Well Tia has been a deep thought.

5. I need to follow my own studying advice. Ever get into the phase where you're so disinterested in studying?  Having a pretty tough time. I have all my notes written and rewritten, questions answered and I just can't seem to find myself able to sit down and study it.

6. I'm starting my Christmas shopping tomorrow. I finally have some ideas. I know it's only the 4th of November, but I'm going to get on the ball this year. My goal is to have everything bought by the beginning of December. Then I can just save all the money I make from then to January for school books. Great idea. I think. Let's hope!

7. Max is loving the first snow fall. He likes playing in it a lot and he looks so majestic in it. The first snow fall makes everything look so nice and calm.

8. If you're into animes I've been obsessed with one called Durarara!! It's pretty good and interesting. So, if you're looking for a new one to watch there's an idea.

9. I'm so excited to start Christmas baking in the next few weeks. It gets me that much more pumped for Christmas. Another thing that gets me excited is the Fall Fair and the Farmers market. That's my plans the next two weekends so I'm super excited for that.

10. Most places are now selling Candy Cane drinks and peppermint mochas. They are so good and just make life better.

So, here are my 10 random thoughts for you today. I hope you are all having a marvellous week and this post has given me some great ideas for future posts. What a wonderful free write this has been.

6 Things I'm looking Forward to this Fall

I don’t know about you, but fall is my favourite time of the year. It makes me so happy. I love the temperature, I love the colours, I love the food, I love a sense of routine, and it’s just great. If you don’t like fall you’re weird. I’m just kidding, but seriously though how can you not enjoy fall? Plus it has Thanksgiving and Halloween too! It’s great. Anyway, before I ramble on some more I have a list for you guys today. As the title of this post suggests it’s on the things I’m looking forward to this fall and I'm sharing conveniently with the 1st day of Autumn being tomorrow! Now some things are different this fall compared to other falls, but none the less I’m super excited for all of it! Let’s take a look at this list!

11.     Colors

I’m obviously going to talk about the colors. It’s my favourite thing. I’m hoping to take a drive over to Tilt Cove again when the leaves are starting to get nice here because that means they’ll be perfect over there. Where I’m too we have a lot more ever green trees and pine trees. We don’t really have many leafy tress which makes me sad. Except for at Bowring Park in St. John’s. They have lovely trees there and Max will be having a photo shoot there whenever the leaves start going perfect. I’m also super excited to see how he reacts to piles of leaves. It’s going to be great and we will be filming his reaction. I’ll make sure to post that when it comes.

22.     Clothing

My whole wardrobe is made for Fall and Winter. I kind of let the two tangle together because those seasons in Newfoundland on the East Coast kind of go hand in hand. Anyway, I’m excited to go back to boots, thick leggings, dresses, and oversized cardigans. I will hopefully be doing some lookbooks once I get the chance.

33.     Candles

If you’re not excited for Fall candles are you even human? Maybe, but really to each their own. I, myself, love fall themed candles. To me they smell absolutely heavenly. They always make me happy and awake and they just bring joy when I walk into a room. Unfortunately, the only room I’m walking into with a fall themed candle is my room because they rest of my family does not appreciate the pumpkin themed smells I love. Anyway, one candle in particular I really love is the Pumpkin Apple (pictured above) one from Bath & Body Works. It’s fantastic! It’s also a pretty fall color with a copper lid, it just screams FALL! Other candles to look out for are leaves and autumn. I find these more of a fresh spicy smell. They also match perfectly for fall and are perfect to have in the background.

44.     Pumpkin Hunting

This I love. Myself and Jake go out to Lester’s Farm every year and pick out the two best pumpkins we can find. We always then carve them together and it’s just one of those personal things I look forward to every year. I also love just seeing all the pumpkins, the corn maze, and the animals. It’s a lot of fun and if you haven’t gone to a farm like this I would totally recommend it!

55.     Halloween

Who doesn’t love Halloween? Not many, although when I was little I used to hate it because I wasn’t allowed to eat any of the candy and my siblings got all of it. Although, in more recent years I have started to love it. I put more effort now into my costumes or decorating the house than ever before. I am also the only one in my house really into decorating the house to the point when I move out my family is going to have very outdated decorations because any new decorations you may see in the house have all been retrieved by moi! Anyway, just the whole decorating, doing up loot bags, planning a costume, and watching some childish Halloween movies is just so nostalgic to me. It makes me happy and takes my mind off school for just a little while!

66.     Wedding/Visits

A more personal event I’m excited for that will probably not apply to everyone (and why I do not have Thanksgiving listed here) is that I’m actually going away to Ontario Thanksgiving weekend. Jake’s sister is getting married so we’re all going up there and spending almost a week there. I’m super excited for this. I am also excited for a mainland fall, since their falls always seem so much nicer than Newfoundland’s. The wedding should be amazing as well and so nice, it’s autumn themed. Also getting to see all of Jake’s family at the one time again should be so nice. This hasn’t happened in like 4 or 5 years now! Which is crazy!

Anyway here are the 6 things I’m looking forward to this Fall. I know the last few got kind of personal, but I figured it is what I’m looking forward to after all. What are you guys looking forward to or does anything in my list relate to you as well? I’d love to hear what you guys are looking forward to this coming fall!

I'm also going to apologize for all the typical stock photos. Unfortunately, the weather in Newfoundland this week was not at all nice and between work and school I couldn't get out to get any relevant photos. I also had none that had anything to do with what I was talking about. I know so many excuses, but I'll get better at being more prepared. I wouldn't mind also getting your views on using stock photos. I know I'm not fond of using them, but they do come in handy when life gets very busy. Let me know what you guys are thinking!

Thanks so much for reading!

Fave Movie September Edition

I have a fave movie this month and what movie could it be.... Cinderella.

Of course the live action one! It's so good. This movie was probably the most perfect thing I have ever watched. I loved every minute of it. It's exactly how Cinderella should be and gives so much more backstory than the original as well.

Also let's not forget how perfect Lily James is as Cinderella. I love watching her in Downton Abbey and when I found out she had been cast as Cinderella my first thought was Perfect!
Then there's prince charming a.k.a Richard Madden. If you're not familiar with him he played Robb Stark in Game of Thrones.

And the Fairy Godmother was perfect too! Helena Bonham Carter is probably one of my favourite actresses.

Anyway, the dvd comes out today! September 15th! I would highly suggest getting it because I know I will be!

My apologies too for such a short post. The two other posts this week are much larger and today is a full day of school so I'm a busy bee!

What movies have you been loving recently? I'd love to know.
